The registry is VRT Finland Oy’s customer and marketing registry.

4. PURPOSE OF THE REGISTER

  • management of customer service and customer relationship
  • newsletters delivery
  • marketing and direct marketing of products and services based on users’ consents and the extent permitted by law
  • the use of personalizing a person’s visit or contacts
  • enabling the delivery of products and services, enabling our operations and further development of products and services
  • treatment of personal data with the statutory obligations
  • replies to contact requests
  • criteria referred to by the laws of the processing sections are Section 8.1, Chapter 2,  1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7

5. CONTENT OF THE REGISTER

  • the user’s first name and last name
  • the user’s e-mail address
  • the user’s mobile phone number
  • the user’s company or other organization, and address of the company or other organization
  • the user’s position within the organization
  • information about the user’s geographic location based on user’s consent
  • the user’s Internet browser brand and type
  • the user’s computer’s brand and model
  • the user’s computer operating system type
  • the user’s mobile phone or other mobile terminal device brand and model
  • the user’s mobile browser brand and type
  • the user’s current IP address
  • the user’s phone or mobile terminal device’s IMEI code, or similar unique code
  • data provided by the user regarding the user’s company or other organization equipment
  • information on the use of VRT’s products and services

6. REGULAR SOURCES OF INFORMATION

  • queries on VRT’s website, phone or any other communication or through the contact system
  • contact forms and other forms
  • subscriptions
  • a variety of answers given by the user at specific questions (interests etc.)
  • information resulting from the use of VRT products and services

7. SUPPLY OF REGULAR DATA

data is transmitted to the following entities for the following purposes:

  • the customer company or a customer or prospect organization, which represents the user
  • VRT’s subcontractor for marketing purposes
  • types of information released are referred in the point 5 in the Personal Data Act
  • data are transmitted via encrypted communications email or otherwise electronically

8. DATA TRANSFER outside the EEA

VRT does not transfer registry data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

9. COOKIES

VRT websites use cookies. The site sends a cookie to the browser – a small file that is stored on your computer’s hard drive. There are, as well as (temporary) session ID cookies, which are closed when the Internet browser is closed, cookies and persistent cookies, which are stored on your computer’s hard disk. The purpose of a cookie is to improve the user experience on the site. Cookies give VRT the opportunity to monitor and review the user’s interests and thus enhance its online pages, targeted marketing, and developing products and services. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if the user wants, the browser settings can be customized and delete them in the future. If you choose to disable cookies, website uses can be limited.

Some third-party vendors, including Google, may also use cookies or web beacons (one pixel in the image file), so that the user can see certain ads when a user visits different sites. Details of cookies and web beacons collected do not tell the VRT or cooperation ventures user name, contact information, or other personal information. The third-party advertisers may also use a technique of measuring the effectiveness of the ads. For this purpose, they can use the beacon (a one-pixel GIF file), which is arranged to collect data anonymous web page. After receiving the anonymous information about your visits to this and other sites, advertisers can design a personalized ads to users on products and services. The information collected is anonymous, and no online actions can not connect it to a specific person.

10. THE DATA PROTECTION PRINCIPLES AND METHODS

The following methods and principles are used:

  • locks in VRT and its subcontractors premises
  • electronic surveillance in VRT and its suppliers premises and equipment
  • VRT’s data networks with firewalls, anti-virus and junk e-mail filter systems and other software and devices that protect networks and information security
  • VRT’s staff know-how
  • training of the staff
  • register is stored in electronic form, except for a short-term exceptional situations
  • VRT’s policies and regulations on personal data issues
