The British Ports Association Conference, hosted by Port of Tyne in Newcastle, was held on 9–12 October. Our 3D Asset Management Specialist Ville Mäkeläinen attended the conference and spread the word of sonar surveys for port sector, and how port professionals could benefit from top-notch 3D data and the extraordinary VRT BIM Online Service.
German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure arranged an event for construction inspectors in Koblenz on 11-12 September. The goal of the event was to exchange experiences and ideas between colleagues and spread information about the latest technical development in the field of construction inspections.
VRT has done a project in Hamburg, where 3 bridges were inspected with multibeam sonar technology. VRT’s representative Andreas Plank and Dipl.-Ing. Christiane Thiel presented the results in the event. Especially the level of detail in the visualisations and the functionality and user-friendliness of the VRT BIM Online Service were well received by the audience.
